RECYCLED COTTON FRAME/ SINGLE

Handmade and tree-free material- recycled from unbleached, scrap cotton fabrics. All natural vegetable dyes. Colors vary.

Artisans from the Rajasthan-based group are skilled in creating outstandingly beautiful tree free paper products from 100% cotton waste fabrics. Artisans first blend scrap fabric with water until the mixture becomes a watery paste. To create the broad spectrum of colors available, vibrant azo-free dyes are added at this stage. Completed sheets are crafted into striking range of products including environmentally friendly stationery sets, organizers, journals, gift bags, photo frames. Most of the artisans employed have migrated to this area from surrounding small towns and rural areas because of a lack of other economic opportunities.
