CLOWN PENCIL TOPPERS

Set of four felt and wool pencil toppers hand sewn with buttonhole stitch. These pencil tops make great little birthday party favors or school fundraisers. All vegetable dyed colors. Colors will vary.

Every little detail of this product is made by hand by economically disadvantaged, yet enterprising women from urban slum communities in India. Over the years the artisans have honed their skills and created a small sustained business effort. Most of them also work as domestic help. As a part of this enterprise, the women enjoy an opportunity to be creative and also gain economically. Some artisans have used this additional resource to help send their children to school.
