Green on the Green is a free, one day community festival providing visitors with a sampling of ways to “go green” including opportunities to buy re-purposed or recycled items, learning to appreciate native plants and animals, and educating folks on how to use less energy, produce less waste or adopt sustainable practices.

This will be our third invite to showcase our handmade, fair trade items from around the globe. Come by and say hi!

Four Winds’ table will be alongside a number of other national and locally-based  social enterprises at the Innovation Marketplace at the Gateway Film Center (1550 N. High Street) starting at 3:30pm on Saturday.  Stop by and say hello, we’d love to see you there!

We’re really excited to be carrying  a new soap and skincare  line from artisan partners in Afghanistan.  All products are handmade from locally-sourced, natural ingredients from southern Afghanistan.  The company was founded by Sarah Chayes, a former correspondent for National Public Radio who covered the fall of the Taliban, then stayed behind to help rebuild the war-torn country.   One of our favorites are the soap pebbles.
